Unlike talk therapy, breathwork works directly with the nervous system — bypassing the analytical mind to reach stored emotions, unprocessed experiences, and the deeper wisdom your body holds.
In a session, you are guided through specific breathing patterns that shift your physiology, quiet the inner critic, and create space for release, insight, and restoration. Many people describe it as the most profound healing experience they've ever had — and the most natural.

Trauma, grief, and emotional weight are stored in the body — not just the mind. Breathwork creates a direct pathway to release what thinking and talking alone cannot always access.
Breathwork activates the parasympathetic nervous system — your body's rest and restore state — reducing cortisol, calming anxiety, and creating a felt sense of safety from the inside out.

I am Bella Sage — founder of Rooted Sage Wellness LLC, licensed clinical social worker, breathwork practitioner, and a woman who has done her own deep work to find her way home.
My healing journey began in Sedona, in a breathwork session that cracked something open I had been protecting for a long time. What I found there — and what I keep finding — is what I now hold space for in others.
I named this practice for my grandmother, Mary Bell Thomas — a healer, matriarch, and spiritual presence who lived to 106 and whose wisdom continues to guide this work. She is the Sage in Rooted Sage.
